I think everyone was in need of a break, and I appreciated the fact that Luke and Viv gave me a quiet day. I got up moderately late, though I waited until the kids were ready to leave for school before making my appearance. I don't like getting underfoot when the pressure is on to get kids moving.
After Viv returned from dropping the kids off, we pottered around. Luke and Viv had to pick up another exterior mirror for their car, as the existing one had been shattered, probably by a passing truck, when Luke was parked on the kerbside. I am surprised that their Toyota has fixed (non-foldable) wing mirrors when it is supposedly adapted for English use. However, at over £100 each, they might be a money spinner for the firm, in which case it is surprising that my Australian Corolla does have fold back mirrors! Incidentally, it's $90 for an after-market mirror, as I have recently found out myself.
After that, we went into Sidcup for a very pleasant lunch at a place the name of which I forget. It was very busy, and we had to wait for a while even for an outdoors table; soon afterwards we got a replacement indoors table, which was much more pleasant on a rather cool day.
Next a walk up to Sainsbury's for a shop, and back home in time for the kids to be picked up.
Friday night is Boys Brigade for Mr 6, so Viv and I walked up with him. He is an always-on-the-go kid, and I was lucky to get him close enough for this photograph:
When Viv pinned him down, they went off happily hand-in-hand...
Here's the Boys Brigade meeting, about to start
And here are the rest of the Sidcup Greens...

And here's visual proof that I, myself, was there:
Starting to get a bit wooly, too.
Fortunately there aren't so many unemployed shearers to follow me around in Sidcup.
